The Fairways for Good Invitational · Tuesday 18 May 2027 · Gaudet Luce

Terms and rules

Everything you're agreeing to when you book a team, a sponsorship package or a pro place, plus how the competitions are played.

The short version

  • Your place is confirmed once you've paid. Card or invoice, your choice.
  • Cancel on or before 18 March 2027 for a full refund. After that, you can pass your place on.
  • If the weather calls it off, we'll move the event to a later date in the 2027 season and your place moves with it.
  • Tour Scramble, best two scores from four. The pro picks the best drive, everyone plays their own ball from there.
  • £10,000 hole-in-one prize on the 10th, for amateurs, provided and run by Official Hole in One (OHiO), subject to their conditions.

1.Booking and payment

  1. These terms cover team entries, sponsorship packages and pro places for The Fairways for Good Invitational 2027 (the event), run by Fairways For Good Ltd (FFG, we, us) at Gaudet Luce Golf and Leisure Complex, Droitwich, on Tuesday 18 May 2027. By booking, you agree to them for yourself and everyone in your team or company.
  2. Prices are shown excluding VAT. VAT is added at the standard rate.
  3. Your place or package is only confirmed once we've received payment in full. You can pay by card through our secure checkout, or by invoice and bank transfer.
  4. If you choose invoice, we'll hold your place or package for up to 14 days while it's paid. If it isn't paid in that time, the hold ends and it goes back on sale. Bookings made in the last 14 days before the event need paying before the day.
  5. Packages with limited numbers, such as Platinum, are first come, first served on the same basis. The booking page shows what's left.
  6. Each team is three amateurs and one professional. When you book, tell us whether you're bringing your own pro or want us to pair you with one. If your pro drops out, tell us as soon as you can and we'll find a replacement.
  7. Send us your players' names, handicap indexes and any dietary needs by Tuesday 4 May 2027. You can swap players until then, and after that with our agreement.
  8. Sponsors: please send your logo as a vector file (or a high-resolution PNG) by Thursday 1 April 2027. Artwork that arrives later may miss printed items such as boards and the tee sheet.
  9. Discount codes: one code per booking. A code must be entered when you book, can't be added afterwards, can't be exchanged for cash and doesn't apply to bespoke packages. Bookings made with a code are paid by invoice. Where a code covers a set number of packages, any more in the same booking are at the full price. We may withdraw a code at any time before a booking is made.

2.If you need to cancel

  1. Cancel on or before Thursday 18 March 2027 (more than 60 days before the event) and we'll refund what you've paid in full.
  2. After that we can't give refunds, but you can pass your place or package to another team or company at no extra cost. Just tell us who's taking it.
  3. For sponsorship packages, if we've already produced branded items for you, we may take their cost off any refund.
  4. If we cancel the event for any reason other than the weather (section 3), we'll refund everything you've paid.

3.Weather and postponement

  1. Gaudet Luce decides whether the course is fit for play. If the course is closed, or we and the club decide play can't go ahead safely, we reserve the right to postpone the event to a later date in the 2027 season.
  2. If we postpone, every team place, pro place and sponsorship package moves to the new date automatically, with everything that's included. We'll give you as much notice as we can.
  3. If you can't make the new date, you can pass your place or package to another team or company, or carry it over to the 2028 Invitational. A weather postponement doesn't qualify for a refund.
  4. If we can't find a new date in the 2027 season, we'll refund what you've paid in full.
  5. If play starts but can't be finished that day, the committee will either declare results over the holes every team has completed, as long as that's at least nine, or postpone the event under 3.1. Prizes and prize money follow the declared result.

4.Team competition: Tour Scramble

Teams of four, three amateurs and one professional, over 18 holes of the Phoenix Course. On every hole:

  1. 1All four players tee off.
  2. 2The pro picks the team's best tee shot.
  3. 3The three amateurs play their second shots from that spot. Place your ball within one club length of it, no nearer the hole and in the same area of the course. On the putting green, place it within one scorecard length.
  4. 4The pro always plays their own ball from their own tee shot, all the way into the hole.
  5. 5From the second shot on, every player plays their own ball into the hole.
  1. Each amateur's tee shot must be used at least three times over the 18 holes.
  2. Scoring is Stableford. On each hole, the best two Stableford scores from the four count towards the team total. The pro plays off scratch.
  3. Every amateur needs a current WHS Handicap Index. Playing handicap is 75% of course handicap, up to a maximum of 24 for men and 30 for women.
  4. A hole-in-one only counts for the player who made it. The rest of the team play their second shots from the next best tee shot.
  5. Once you can't score on a hole, please pick up to keep things moving.
  6. The committee sets the tees for the day and confirms them in your players' pack.
  7. Ties are decided on the best score over the last 9, then the last 6, the last 3, and the 18th hole.

5.Professional competition

  1. Open to PGA professionals and other playing professionals. Pro places are by invitation, and we make the pairings.
  2. Format: 18 holes of individual strokeplay off scratch, playing your own ball throughout, under the Rules of Golf and Gaudet Luce's local rules. You play alongside the team competition at the same time.
  3. Hand your signed scorecard to the recorder when you finish. Signed cards are the official result. Live scoring on the day is for information only.
  4. The prize fund is £7,500, paid across the top 15 places. It's fixed, whatever the size of the field:
  1. 1st£1,500
  2. 2nd£1,100
  3. 3rd£850
  4. 4th£725
  5. 5th£600
  6. 6th£490
  7. 7th£410
  8. 8th£350
  9. 9th£290
  10. 10th£250
  11. 11th£220
  12. 12th£200
  13. 13th£185
  14. 14th£170
  15. 15th£160
  1. Guaranteed minimum: every pro who registers on time, plays the full 18 holes with their allocated team and follows the dress and conduct code takes home at least £150. Pros finishing 16th or lower receive £150. We'll send you a short participation agreement covering this before the event.
  2. The advertised total professional pot of £11,250 is based on a full field of 40 teams: the £7,500 prize fund plus £150 for each of the 25 pros outside the top 15. With a smaller field, the total is lower.
  3. Ties: tied pros share the prize money for the places they cover equally, and nobody takes home less than £150. The winner is decided on the best score over the last 9, then the last 6, the last 3, and the 18th hole.
  4. We pay all prize money and participation payments by bank transfer within seven days of the event. You're responsible for your own tax.

6.£10,000 hole-in-one prize

  1. The prize is on the 10th hole of the Phoenix Course, Gaudet Luce's hole-in-one hole. Your players' pack confirms the tee.
  2. It's open to the amateurs playing in the event. Professionals can't win it.
  3. It has to be your own tee shot, from the tee set for the event, during your competition round. One attempt each.
  4. The shot must be witnessed and verified in line with Official Hole in One's requirements. There'll be an official on the hole.
  5. The prize is provided and facilitated by Official Hole in One (OHiO), and paid once they've verified the claim. They may ask for your signed scorecard, the tee sheet, witness statements and proof of identity. OHiO's terms and conditions apply and take priority over this summary. Ask us and we'll send you a copy.
  6. Under the R&A Rules of Amateur Status, an amateur can accept a prize of any value, including cash, for a hole-in-one made during a round of golf.
  7. A business can sponsor the hole-in-one as our Hole-in-One Partner. That sponsorship sits alongside Official Hole in One and doesn't change how the prize is provided, run or paid.

7.Amateur prizes

  1. There are prizes for the top five teams, nearest the pin and longest drive, plus any extra prizes we announce from major golf suppliers and manufacturers.
  2. Amateur prizes stay within the R&A prize limit for amateurs. The hole-in-one prize is the exception (6.6).
  3. Prizes are as described and there's no cash alternative. If a prize becomes unavailable, we'll replace it with one of similar value.
  4. The winning team wins a four-ball on the Marquess Course at Woburn Golf Club, with breakfast, a post-round meal and a personalised gift. We'll arrange the date with the winners and Woburn, subject to the club's availability.

8.On the day

  1. Tee times run from 7:30am. We'll send the full tee sheet the week before. Tell us at booking if you'd prefer morning or afternoon and we'll do our best.
  2. Please register 45 minutes before your tee time. Bacon rolls and hot drinks are on arrival, and the BBQ runs all afternoon as teams come in.
  3. Gaudet Luce's dress code applies on the course and in the clubhouse.
  4. If the siren sounds for lightning, stop play straight away and only restart when it sounds again.
  5. We and Gaudet Luce will be taking photos and video on the day for our marketing. Tell us at registration if you'd rather not be featured.
  6. The committee is FFG together with Gaudet Luce. Its decisions on the competitions are final.

9.The legal bits

  1. We may need to change details such as tee times, catering or prizes. We'll tell you about anything significant as soon as we can.
  2. Everyone plays at their own risk and is responsible for their own equipment and belongings. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
  3. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
